Viktoriaskolan was built only a few years earlier, yet the 600 students and faculty were disappointed with the indoor climate. The level of frustration led the property manager to consider closing the school.
These issues were brought to our attention at Swegon, and we were confident that our digital services, Swegon INSIDE, could be an effective solution. Once installed, complaints dropped by 85% and the time required to address feedback from students and teachers was reduced by 50%.

INSIDE for sustainability and building economics
Following a property review, we addressed the indoor climate issues by upgrading the system for demand controlled ventilation, Swegon WISE. This was primarily a digital renovation enabling better data collection. With this in place, we partnered with the property manager at Viktoriaskolan to add services from Swegon INSIDE, enhancing analysis and visualisation of the indoor climate.
Optimisation and tenant understanding is key
INSIDE Analytics, one of the INSIDE services, confirmed a good indoor climate which is why we questioned draughts, sunlight exposure or user perceptions. By the help of our technicians we optimised air supply units to minimise draught and discomfort.
INSIDE Analytics then integrates with INSIDE Visualiser which displays real-time data of temperature, humidity and more. This gives understanding of comfort levels and other reasons for not being satisfied with the indoor climate are now considered.

Finally, INSIDE Visualiser includes a OR code based feedback function that allow students and teachers to report indoor climate concerns in real time. This ensures quick response to actual issues, but simply seeing data that confirms a well-regulated indoor climate enhance comfort perceptions and reduces the number of complaints.
